Privacy notice

Last updated 21 July 2026.

This notice explains how Levengarth handles personal data for the people who use this site: candidates who send us a CV, and clients who ask us to fill a role. Levengarth is a recruitment desk operated by Cloud Hikers Ltd. The parts below are split by who you are; the sections on our providers, your rights and how to reach us apply to everyone.

Who we are

Cloud Hikers Ltd, trading as Levengarth, is the controller of your personal data. Registered office: 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. Company number 14644500. Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC202138. If you have any question about this notice or your data, email recruitment@levengarth.com.

If you're a candidate

This part is for candidates who send us a CV speculatively or apply to a specific role advertised by Levengarth.

What we collect

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your data to consider you for current and future roles, to produce a written read of your CV, to contact you about opportunities, and to confirm that the contact details we hold are genuinely yours.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running a recruitment service and matching candidates to roles, and, where you send us a CV speculatively rather than applying to a specific role, your consent in choosing to submit it. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Automated analysis of your CV

When you submit a CV, an automated tool reads it and produces a summary and a score, so we can understand your experience quickly. This supports our team; it does not make any decision about you on its own. A person always decides whether to contact you or put you forward. If you would prefer a person to review the read, ask us and we will.

Confirming your details

Where we need to be sure an email address is genuine, we may send a link to it to confirm. If your CV includes a mobile number, we may also send a one-time code to it. This is only to confirm we hold real, contactable details and to protect against misuse.

How long we keep it

We keep your CV and details for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which we delete or anonymise them, unless you ask us to keep them longer so we can consider you for future roles.

If you're a client

This part is for people who contact us through our client form to brief us on a role they want filled, usually on behalf of their employer.

What we collect

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your data to respond to your enquiry, to discuss the role you want filled, and to provide our recruitment service to you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and providing recruitment services, and, where we go on to work together, taking steps to enter into and perform our contract with you.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry and the brief for as long as we are working together and for a reasonable period afterwards, in line with our business and tax records, after which we delete or anonymise them.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run our service. They process your data only on our instructions:

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred abroad it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision. When we put a candidate forward for a role we share relevant details with the client, with the candidate's knowledge. We do not sell your data.

Cookies and this site

This site sets no cookies of its own and no analytics or advertising cookies. Two things are worth naming.

The booking page loads Google's appointment calendar, which sets its own cookies. It does not load until you allow it, or choose to show the calendar on that page. Your choice is remembered in your browser so we do not keep asking.

The jobs board remembers the roles you save, hide, view or apply for, and, after you send a CV for evaluation, the match scores that come back for it. That is held in your own browser's local storage, on your device. The scores are keyed to your CV, not fetched as you browse, and clearing your browser data removes all of it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these, email recruitment@levengarth.com. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would ask you to raise it with us first so we can put it right.
